With the help of musical theoretical boundaries you can set up your musical style or use the included presets to delve into different genres and to find the ”musical DNA” of songs and artists. Define your scales, rhythms and instruments in limitless combinations to play anything from Dubstep, Orchestral Music, Raga or Extreme Metal.

Use Gestrument with its internal sounds or as a controller for other iOS apps. Connect Gestrument to your favorite external MIDI synth or software. Everything can be recorded as Audio and MIDI from within Gestrument. Get started now with our overviews and tutorials!

Genre agnostic

Gestrument works equally well for rhythmic music or sweeping soundscapes, for solo melodies or chord blocks, for long lines or short staccatos. It can help you make music in whichever genre you can imagine – or help you create new ones. With MIDI you can control other apps, external hardware and instruments or any software in your computer to get access to all sounds you could ever need.

Intuitive

Play and compose music just by swiping the iPad or iPhone screen. Gestrument is a gesture based controller for professional musicians who can build advanced theoretical frameworks that they can later improvise within. But Gestrument works directly with its internal synth and presets and is therefore perfect for the beginner who wants to explore making music in an intuitive way.

Customizable

Define global scales, rhythm values and up to eight different instruments with individual settings. Use parameters like pulse density, scale morphing, rhythm randomness or pitch fluctuation to find new paths for your musical expression and creativity. Use the presets or define your own settings to fit the musical style you want to play and compose in.
